Target: The Right Honourable Jacqui Smith M.P., Secretary of State for the Home Department
Result:
Sadly, the predictable death of Ama Sumani has rendered this petition redundent. However, I should like to sincerely thank all those who took the trouble to sign it and try to correct this barbaric behaviour by the British authorities.

Michael Richardson
Description/History:
The terminally ill Ama Sumani was forcibly removed from hospital, where she was undergoing dialysis as a result of kidney damage due to myeloma, and immediately deported to Ghana.

This action should be reversed with the utmost urgency.
Petition:
We the undersigned consider the lack of compassion shown in the deportation of Ama Sumani to be a stain on the honour of the United Kingdom and call on the Home Secretary to allow Ms Sumani to re-enter the UK to continue her medical treatment.
